(/Founder/Artistic Director/Executive Producer) Kristen is a graduate of American University where she received a BA in Theatre. She also received conservatory training from The British American Drama Academy in London, where she performed in Shakespeare’s "All’s Well That Ends Well" in the off-west end Oval Theatre. Some of Kristen’s acting credits include "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", "To Be or Want to Be", and "Cabaret". She spent two summers performing "Cinderella" (Cinderella) on tour with Kaleidoscope Theatre Company through northern New England, and has also performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Kristen's most recent directing credits include DTC productions of "Moonchildren" & "Beautiful Child", a staged reading of "Subtext" at the Kennedy Center, and "How I Learned to Drive". She has interned with the National Endowment for the Arts, and has stage managed at the 2002 Kennedy Center Prelude Festival. She was also the lighting designer for the independent DC film "Flight". Kristen has produced all of Didactic Theatre Company's shows over the past 4 years. |
(Associate Artistic Director/Public Relations Director) Dana has worked in marketing, sales and outreach with African Continuum Theatre Company, The Warner Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre, Synetic Theater, and Young Playwrights Theatre. As an actor she has performed with Didactic Theatre Company, Washington Shakespeare Company, Rorschach Theatre, Cherry Red Productions, Studio Theatre, Phoenix Theatre DC, Source Theatre, Woolly Mammoth's Playground New Play Readings, feeT oF claY, Venus Theatre, and the Kennedy Center Prelude Festivals. Dana has also been seen on film and TV through PBS, Sundance, Court TV, Cherry Red Productions, and NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness. Dana was born and raised in Manhattan and received a B.A in Theatre from American University in Washington DC. She is excited to be a member of Didactic Theatre Company and hopes to see you at the theatre! |
Artistic Development Director Chris's work with Didactic includes portraying Lucky in "Moonchildren" and Johnnie in "Hello and Goodye". He also directed the production of "Stop Kiss", and will be co-directing "The Waverly Gallery" this winter. Chris has also worked for such companies as Firebelly and Omaemoda. He would like to thank everyone involved with Didactic, especially our loyal audience members.
